Speaking of usurpation of the GODS, re the Russian/Chinese Revolutions - one historical entrail of western human civilization i've followed back goes something like this:

THE Golden Age: free-thought philosophy - Socrates-Plato-Aristotle - a bunch more on either side of those dudes - opening up, then pushing the envelope of human consciousness ...

THE Church: introduced BC/AD Time in 525 BC (usurping Roman Time), then banned philosophy couple of decades later, due to self-described mission of: global-mind-control based on THE Blessed Virgin ... THE Saviour

THE Science: Wrested partial control from THE Church in recent times - but maintained THE ban on philosophy (new-normal-style ban - costs double to study philosophy in Aus coz it's considered useless, using economic rationalism), proceeded to act same as THE Church in terms of telling whoppers, using power to clamp down on basic truths, freedoms

Not to say THE Church doesn't still wield serious global power today, it does, but THE Science is an ascendant player in THE global-group-think GODS stakes

In the end, as a GODS, it's all about projecting your desired image of reality ...via culture
