The GODS: George Pell (General)

If it was not already a big enough insult to victims that Pell's life is being celebrated with a grandiose funeral, now the cops are cracking down on anyone wishing to protest this travesty.

Police spokesperson: The NSW Police Force has received a Form 1 for a protest planned for Thursday 2 February in Sydney CBD, however, despite attempted negotiations with organisers, safety concerns associated with their proposed assembly cannot be adequately mitigated without amendments to the proposal.

As such, the Commissioner will apply to the NSW Supreme Court to prohibit the assembly.

(Police) recognise and support the rights of individuals and groups to exercise their rights of free speech and peaceful assembly, however, the first priority is always the safety of the wider community.

The old 'to keep us safe' BS that gets trotted out every single time authorities want to clamp down on basic human rights.

Hard to imagine a more flagrant example of that than the above. As pointed out in the earlier post, Pell continuously used his position of immense power to enable child-sexual abuse then cover it up. Then block victims from seeking compensation through his concoction of the Ellis Defense (arguing THE Church is not a legal entity, therefore not liable). Pell was the integral force in Australia responsible for masterminding all three types of abuses (enabling, covering-up, blocking compensation) against children.

This abuse included the Catholic Ballarat diocese (in which Pell was a leading figure) leaning on police to drop their investigation against Father Day (which they did) and arranging for prolific pedophile, Father Ridsdale, to be shuffled from parish to parish to continue his sexual-abuse spree.

The Royal Commission found, unequivocally, that Pell was aware of rampant abuse & sought to cover it up.

So when the safety of children being sexually abused was on the line, the police, directed by the Ballarat diocese, enabled the abusers. But now, suddenly, when people want to protest this flagrant abuse of power, they're banned from doing so due to the safety of the wider community?

How the fuck does protesting a leading child-sexual abuser/enabler constitute a threat to the safety of the wider community?

I think we know the answer. Anything that may lead to a questioning of the ruling order is a threat to the safety of the elite's power-base.

To date, not one person has been convicted in Australia for the crime of concealment of child sexual abuse - even though there is a specific law defining it as a crime.

We also know why that is. Despite truckloads upon truckloads of evidence that Pell did conceal abuse - if you're a power-elite, the rules don't apply. It's that simple.

It's no coincidence that the media's current target for vilification (in Aus at least) is the growing number of individuals choosing to withdraw from the system & rejecting this gas-lighting by the higher-ups & their farcical laws. At least the media's sensitivity to this movement shows that they recognize it as their major weakness.
