Qatar provides an excellent model of what this powerful, obscenely rich cohort strives for.

According to this article: Migrant workers make up around 2.5 million of Qatar’s 2.9 million population – amounting to 86 per cent of the population.

The World Cup, which was corruptly bought/awarded to Qatar, has shone some light on how this system works - a small group of elites ruling over a large group of sub-persons.

It's writ large in Qatar, where elites don't even bother to pretend it's anything but a modern day feudal system, but the same thing is happening all around the world - maybe not as openly, but it's happening. A gradual, sometimes seismic (see Covid) shift towards power centralization that involves gobbling up any semblance of influence the sub-persons had or have.

And how did they get all this power/money? By shutting down renewable energy sources and making the world dependent on oil, thereby fucking up the planet.

It's been known for at least 40 years that fossil fuel is bad news, but that doesn't concern the GODS coz they can always use their money to shield themselves from the effects - which are passed onto the sub-human workforce. It's a beautiful system if you're at the top of it.
