She doesn't bother to address the fact that these labs and this research is very new, and so of course any leaks are not historically prevalent. Nor does the host bother to ask, hmmm, but what about the fact that this research, genetic science, etc. etc. etc., is all very, very new from an historical context, and so to base assumptions on historical data is flawed? What, in fact, is the possibility of a leak?

That question, the mechanics of a leak, the mechanics of the lab, just isn't addressed.

There is still no definitive proof that SARS came from nature. The closest they got was a bat with an identity percentage of 96+% - which is similar to that of RaTG13 with SARS-2 at 96.27%. The civet theory is also dubious. Btw, SARS-1 leaked from labs a whopping 6 times following the initial outbreak. Was the origin of SARS-1 a lab-escape, too? I don't know but it's certainly possible. I'd love to see side by side graphs of the amount spent on studying coronaviruses and the number of instances of deadly outbreaks of the common cold in the history of humanity.

MERS - which was a Lipkin/Daszak study - was also shrouded in murkiness. They were there at the exclusive invitation of Saudi's totalitarian govt and the samples they collected accidentally thawed on the flight back.

Yes, historically we've had colds before (corona virus being a form of cold) but not ones that killed 5 million in a year. That's something we've never seen ever.

It's also absurd that she's complaining that the investigation is focusing exclusively on a lab-leak. The opposite is true! The lab-leak was blanket-banned by the media and most scientists while WHO did their faux investigations that concluded, bizarrely, that Covid didn't originate in China, let alone Wuhan.

We're in this crazy situation where fringe theories are being mainstreamed (pangolin, wet market) while common-sense theories are being marginalized.

One more - someone makes the excuse that lab-leak theory was suppressed coz it "was mixed up with theories about a deliberate release of a bio-weapon". What nonsense. The only people doing the mixing were CCP supporting scientists who used the deliberate bio-weapon as a straw man to argue against a lab-escape possibility.
