WHO Investigators visit Wet Market (General)

"A WHO team looking into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic yesterday visited the seafood market in the Chinese city of Wuhan that was linked to many early infections. Scientists initially suspected the virus came from wild animals sold in the market. The market has since been largely ruled out."

So what's the point of even going there - more than 12 months after the outbreak?

Peter Daszak, a zoologist with the US group EcoHealth Alliance and a member of the WHO team, wrote on Twitter: “Very important site visits today _ a wholesale market first & Huanan Seafood Market just now. Very informative & critical for our joint teams to understand the epidemiology of COVID as it started to spread at the end of 2019.”

Really? I could have told you that from here. We already know that the first cases weren't from the market - that it was just a stepping stone in the spread of the infection. What on earth are you going to learn by visiting the market now?

Sounds more like a PR stunt so they can say 'Well, we went to Wuhan - we couldn't find anything there... Maybe it did come from overseas...'

"The Chinese government has promoted theories, with little evidence, that the outbreak might have started with imports of frozen seafood tainted with the virus."

While you're in Wuhan, why not visit the Wuhan labs that were working on bat viruses? Report on their security - make public the genomes of all viruses that were/are held there? Talk to some local residents who were amongst the first infected? Talk to whistleblower doctors - the ones that are not dead. Normal investigation things.

Here's a doctor with an interesting insight into the cover up:

“Everyone knew it was human-to-human transmission, even a fool would know. So why say there was none? This made us very confused and very angry.”

What's his take on the origin? Why did the CCP lie about human-to-human transmission?

But hell will freeze over before WHO/CCP will allow anything like that.

Sun Yang, director-general of the health emergency response office of China's National Health Commission, said:

"The virus origin studies are of a scientific nature. We must stop any political pressure (to find the actual origin)."
