Do you think it makes it impossible to fix? This is the movie where the corruption runs all the way to the top - so who's left to hold the perps accountable?

I wonder the extent to which what we're seeing in the media is just complete bullshit. We've been told that there are intelligence reports of researchers from the lab getting sick but haven't been given proof. In fact, we haven't been given proof of anything, at all. Nothing. Except the daily tally of the dead.

So what is going on? Is US intelligence holding their cards close as a bargaining chip? Are there backroom dealings going on?

Here's another recent talking points show from BBC. In this one, the guest virologist, who worked with bat lady, reluctantly admits that there were lapses in the lab, but very strongly points out that the overwhelming likelihood is that this virus is from an animal because, well, that's the way it's been for the last few thousand years.

She doesn't bother to address the fact that these labs and this research is very new, and so of course any leaks are not historically prevalent. Nor does the host bother to ask, hmmm, but what about the fact that this research, genetic science, etc. etc. etc., is all very, very new from an historical context, and so to base assumptions on historical data is flawed? What, in fact, is the possibility of a leak?

That question, the mechanics of a leak, the mechanics of the lab, just isn't addressed.

Nope, nobody bothers to discuss that bit.
