The Theatre of War: Iran (General)

The never-ending Iran War is classic War Theatre.

I remember a song from Redgum, an Aussie band from the 80's, a Randy Newman-esque satire off the Beach Boys' Barbara Ann song - for which they substituted Bomb Iran. Talk about songs that didn't go out of style!
Can't find it or i'd post it - probably copyright issues. There's only some war-mongering version allowed on Youtube - which still dates back to the 80s - shows how long a running-show it's been - longer than the Simpsons.

There was something weird about Iran giving US notice it was going to bomb such-n-such a facility - then the leaks that the US underground-buster bombs didn't really achieve much. Smacks of a War-Theatre exercise.

Maybe that theatre is designed to play out into a staged peace-accord with two loggerhead nations - that would be great. But it's still a Plato's Cave theatre projection. It's not real.

On the downside, a pre-emptive strike by the US gave a green-light to Russia, as well as CCP in terms of pre-emptively striking Taiwan.
