November2025Weather diary page Nov 04, Guam Tropical disturbance 90W is bringing only wind and scattered showers at present, but it is forecast to cause torrential rain over the next three days starting tomorrow. If this thing strengthens as it sits out there waiting to make a turn towards our location, it could get ugly. This must be an example of why, Guam is always in Condition IV. A typhoon may develop and hit the island within 72 hours. Nov 15, NR:Well, the Big Dry has finished - started raining towards end of Oct & has rained on & off since. Typical spring storms rolling through, though nothing too dramatic so far. Tank is back to full. Grass is back to growing like crazy. Nov 15, Guam: And just as the rain is gearing up 'down under', the dry season has arrived on Guam. The second week of Nov. has seen days with very little or no rain at all. That last tropical disturbance (which went on to become typhoon Fung-wong, appears to have marked the end of the wet season. Nov 28, NR: Storm season + heatwave (mid-30s) has continued with almost daily storm events over the last week. Two nights in a row, the storm arrived well after dark producing a spectacular light show over the rocks where the sky was continuously pulsing with lightning, including a lot of cloud to cloud lightning (rather than cloud to earth). There were some severe storms at locations not far from here, but here it was what i call 'the perfect storm' - a bit of excitement, but no drama. Grass is growing like crazy. Had a brush turkey appear about a week ago. Unfortunately the chooks went into full-on attack mode - chest & wings puffed out, fierce faces - quite comical actually, unless you were the brush turkey. Peaches are ripening, though the dry spell seemed to have hindered them - many with splits in them. Nov 30, Guam A last blast for the rainy season is moving through. Showers today and tomorrow. Overall, November has been a very comfortable month with a nearly constant breeze and good mix of sun and rain, never getting much over 31, with 30 being the average high. |
