The first one will probably stay east of us but the second is currently predicted to come here by monday. And could well be a full scale typhoon by then. As we're now up to 17 blazing sunny days without rain, it would be most welcome.
bad news. forecast has changed dramatically today and it's now predicted to stay well east of us - will be lucky to get a passing shower out of it if it holds that line.
Don't give up hope yet. A couple excerpts from the latest prognostic reasoning from JTWC:

Also, that first system sitting SSE of us looks like it's gaining steam. It might bring at least the east coast a shower or two.
yeah, just looked at the sat again and seems like the first one may end up dumping some rain here - as soon as tomorrow. CWB is now predicting the second one will swallow it at some stage. To be honest, i'm not ready for a full scale typhoon - it's too early, but i'm ready for some decent rain and heat relief.
