Big Low (Weather)
Seems to be something pretty big forming off ppe coast - hopefully it can kick up a bit of rain our way in a few days time.

Next week might shape up to be an interesting weather week with that low forming and perhaps the coldest front of the year so far due to arrive Wednesday or so.
Low did form into a TD and did get a little rain, 9mm, but main thing has been the wind. Massive dbjf for last three days - assume it's associated with typhoon and that it's air being sucked in combined with the ne monsoon channel. Mornings have generally been sunny and warm then quite cold in the afternoon once cloud comes in. Big cold blast coming through today (as predicted by Dan!) CWB has Taidong at 0% chance of rain today which would seem a bit strange given the typhoon situation. TD expected to remain stationary and hover around ppe for a week!
It looks like this cold front is actually pushing the TD back.
For some reason it's very hard to find rainfall totals for ppe, but i saw a news report about severe flooding and 40 casualties caused by the current low pressure system. It's not surprising considering the system (TD) stalled right over central to southern ppe for almost a week.
Meanwhile, very little of it has found its way up here.
