We've been having a few earthquakes off the Taitung coast over the last few days, and just a few minutes ago there was a large 6.7 quake midway between Taiwan and the Philippines. See blue dot below:

That's a big one. I figure anything over 6.5 is serious. And, this is a very unusual location for such a quake.
