Check out the images of this developing low east of the Philippines. It forms a clear circle. In the first picture it's in the far right.

odd pics - got the circulation but obviously not packing much at this stage. forecast graph has it somewhere near us by Monday-Tues, but predicted to stay east of us. Meanwhile looks like a spell of hot sunny weather coming up for the next few days at least.

looks like it is starting to pick up and would seem to be arriving quiker than forecast. This is the chart for Monday, which puts it right in the position that has given us a couple of downpours already this month. would seem like there's a reasonable chance of rain before then as well when it crosses ppe.

seems to have made it through ppe pretty much intact, but not much sign of a poleward outflow at this stage. at least some clouds tonight - the last couple of days have been brutal from start to finish - my thermometer, which is in the shade, hit 39 the last two days.
hopefully get some drift up sunday night or monday.

Seems to have much more of an equatorial outflow than a poleward one - looks almost like a serious storm in itelf the blob to the south of it. do you know what governs the outflow direction? Is it wind shear? Wouldn't seem to be much wind here, which should be good, right?
Anyway, unless that outflow changes i can't see us getting too much rain out of it. A few vague drops here before, but no temp drop or wind indicating anything bigger yet.
