War in Taiwan 2027 (General)
As we've discussed before, it's highly likely that a blockade would be the first step.
That allows CCP to turn the temperature up without actually dropping bombs, then see how it goes from there.
Then it would become a game of brinkmanship. How long can you hold out?
In terms of China's economy, there are a bunch of countries that simply could not afford even a trade war with them.
Australia is Exhibit A - 30% reliant on China for both imports & exports.
It's a ridiculous position to be in, brought on by myopic idiots that sold out the Aus economy to a totalitarian regime (so a few mega-companies could profit).
On one hand they are reliant on China to fill all the essential household item shops, on the other they are reliant on China to take the minerals that they dig up but have no manufacturing industry to process them.
Aus really hasn't got a leg to stand on if there was ever a serious conflict - they would have to cave-in.
'Prepping' on a personal level was, until recently, considered something that crazy conspiracy theorists did, but it's now being quietly promoted by governments & world bodies.
Was pretty well prepped where i was, but starting from scratch now.
First thing on my list is a portable power bank that can be recharged from a portable solar panel.
The mind boggles as to how a population of Taipei's density is going to be fed if the shit hits the fan - can barely comprehend it in normal times. Can see things getting very ugly, very quickly.
