A man who was thrown to the ground by a police officer during Melbourne’s Covid lockdown has died.

Daniel Peterson-English’s arrest made headlines after disturbing footage showed him being tackled to the ground at Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station by acting sergeant Beau Barrett in September 2021. The 32-year-old’s head could be heard hitting the hard floor.

According to a caption written by the woman who initially posted the video, the man was knocked unconscious and there was “blood and urine everywhere”.

“This poor guy was calm, he was just talking to the police. You can see it in the video then he gets thrown to the ground. You can hear his face hit the tiles.”

You can't get colder, harder evidence of state brutality (against Freedom Protesters) than actual footage.

Sgt Beau Barrett walks up behind a non-threatening, totally unaware person ... then sling tackles his head into the concrete.

Charges were laid, but in 2023, same year Andrews resigned in disgrace, Magistrate Rob Stary ruled:

It may be that the arrest was executed in a way that is not in strict accordance with the manual, but whether it could be said to be unlawful and whether it could be said to be done without any regard to the probable consequences and criminal intent, in my view a jury properly instructed could not convict A/SGT Barrett of those offences.

Mr Peterson-English acts in a manner that is entirely provocative.

That's like he's pre-programmed to write the total opposite of the video evidence. Only reason that slimy weasel didn't want it anywhere near a jury was coz he knew they'd be sickened - then righteoously find Andrews proxy police-state actor guilty as sin.

If anything it's a reminder that even though Andrews is disgraced/immortalized as the most draconian Covid Ruler in the known universe, the deep-state judicial/bureaucratic appointments he made linger on.

There will be no real accountability until henchmen like Magistrate Rob Stary, & other Andrews appointees, are held accountable.

It's not clear how Daniel Peterson-English, a guy with some existing, non-violent mental health conditions, died, but he suffered documented trauma from the incident, as you would. It's not a long bow to draw the connection. Pretty short bow - at close range. With Magistrate Rob Stary loosing the string. Then moving onto his next target.
