The Maduro government has accused the US of taking out it's electricity system with an "imperialistic electro-magnetic attack".

Although the US is not above dirty tricks in South American countries, Ockham's razor, and the Guardian article, suggest the blackout is a result of mismanagement over many years. However, It does raise some interesting questions - is it possible to knock out a country's electricity grid by such means?
