Shanyuan Palms Holiday Villas? (General)

I was going to add this link to the Shanyuan page of the wiki, but then noticed somebody already had. Well done.

http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/taiwan/archives/2015/07/30/2003624236 (July 29. EPA commitee halts assessment of plans for new mega-resort in Shan Yuan area pending the passing of Coastal Protection Law))

Before we left, there was a fairly large area just north of Shanyuan that had construction gate/fence/sheets all around it, on the beach side, on the south end of a village. I'm not even sure what that village is called. Is this that project? I always wondered what it was. It looked quite nefarious, whatever it was/is. If that wasn't it, where was this?

I'm guessing this is very good news with regards to projects in the pipeline.

Shanyuan Palms Holiday Villas?

The place is about 200 metres north of Miramar on the mountain side - you know - where the landslides usually occur during typhoons. Again, monstrous development and idiotically conceived in terms of location. It would be wilfull criminal negligence to allow such a massive development to take place on that crumbling hillside.

Thank God that common sense seems to have prevailed this time.

Btw, any idea who owns this resort?
