Has died down here quite a lot now. No real rain. Cool, but not cold.

Quite a spread in temps between Taitung and Kaohsing at the moment. 22.7 in Taitung, 27.4 in Kaohsiung. There must be some very unstable air somewhere between.

It hasn't arrived in Kaohsiung yet. Our current temperature at 8:43am is 26.6, which is just about the forecast high for the day of 27, so we should be getting some action soon. We have a 40% chance of rain tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The first ones often seem to be the biggest and this is the first real one for the seaon and it came through like a freight train at 6 o'clock this morning. Huge, typhoon like winds, some rain.
