The cold came, but not the winds. Strangely, it didn't feel too cold to me coz i get a lot of chill factor up here and there hasn't been any wind this time. However, Dan reported that it got down to 12C which is pretty much as low as it gets here. I was expecting wind and so was CWB which had wind warnings for 2-3 days and was forecasting gusts of 50kts for Lan yu, but they never eventuated.

Was expecting the wintery blast to begin today but it was actually pretty mild with very light winds. However, huge rainfall in the north half of Taiwan - and literally 'half', with the country bisected by 100 plus falls and then nothing in the bottom half. Imagine the winds will still come tomorrow.

After a stretch of warm weather, it looks like winter is about to bite back in a major way over the next few days. Strong winds likely and a blast of arctic air are on the way.
