July: 122 8, 270.5, 1042.5 well below ave, included 3 stinking hot weeks of virtually no rain. XC was much drier than other parts of Taidong. CWB said 315ml for TD, but less than half of that here.

August: 556 7, 302(ave) 1598.5 (369 and 98 on two days)

September: 80.5, 6, 344.6 (ave), 1675 (way below ave - no sig typ rain)

October: 37 ,6, 182.3(ave), 1718 (way below ave - no sig typ rain)

November:93,4, 79.2 (ave), 1811 (well spaced falls - connected to ppe typ

December:79, 5, 40.5 (ave), 1890 (well spaced - connect ppe typ)

NOTE: Ave figures taken from CWB site. 2012 figures from my own rain guage in Xing Chang.

Notes: Afterall, the rainfall for 2012 was 111 ml higher than the ave. However there was a mixture of dry and wet months. July was the hot dry one, with more typ activity in Aug offering some relief. Combined falls of 470ml on two days in Aug probably inflated the figures. Excellent 'farming falls' in Nov, Dec, making watering of the garden almost unnecessary for the past two months.
