CCP Male-dominated leadership

The CCP gets a lot of misplaced support/acquiescence from 'progressive experts' - the gender power imbalance shows how misplaced that is.

Not only has there never been a female leader, there has never been a woman on the Standing Committee, the highest political body in China responsible for making all key decisions in the PRC.

The next rung down is the 25-member Politburo. It has one woman.

This makes a great contrast with Taiwan which has a female president and strong female representation throughout both parties.
