JTWC has 13W going up the east coast, which means of course that it may go up the west, or the east, or just disappear.

Unusual path - it's meant to do a horse shoe around Taiwan. If you just saw the starting point then the finish point off the north coast of Taipei, you would never believe that it had missed Taiwan

Tomorrow there's meant to be four active storms in the area - not sure what the world record is - none of them forecast to really develop or hit Taiwan

Yeah, there's a lot going on - the one to the south, with the anti-clockwise action can also feed a lot of rain into the south east - so definitely worth keeping qn eye on

Seems to be the way it often happens -typhoons flying around left right and centre - then one hits

And now it's been complicated by two additional storms. If 98w is pulled north, sort of following direction of Ampil, it will come right at us. This is the type of storm that can really nail Kaohsiung/Pingtung.

Yeah, wondered if it was potential Nari situation where it goes up the east coast then comes back down from the north and knocks Taiwan on the head - but seems the tracks are not predicting that scenario at this stage at least

12W looks threatening and highly unpredictable at this point.
