Today was warm, with a light southerly and all day solid rain. In fact it seems to rain every couple of days at least this Jan - and Jan is supposed to be the driest month with only 30mm average. We seem to get that every few days!

I'm not sure about the climate change, but there has definitely been a major shift here since Oct, heat-wise, and since Dec, rain-wise. After several years of below average rain, even record dry years, we are now getting swamped. I don't know what the record rainfall for Jan is but we must be giving it a serious nudge this year. Today the humidity was so high that the floor was sopping wet.

And to add to the weirdness, within this run of record winter heat and rain, we had a record cold day last weekend!

But wait, there's more! The wind switched to the north east about an hour ago and the rain eased off and i thought that would be the end of it. But just since i started writing it has started up again, and twice as strong - typhoon level rain!
