This system seems to have come from nowhere. It looks like it could quickly develop into something.

Yep, it's already a TD, and it's heading north. predicted to stay east of us and get consumed by the coldfront moving to the south east. But some decent rain would seem to be on the cards. Amazingly, CWB has still rated us their standard 30% POP, but looking at the radar (and the fact that it is actually raining now, that would seem to be in need of revision. Off to the do the market in Dulan now - another good way to ensure there is some serious rainfall!

This is pretty impressive. I am assuming it's not still classified as a typhoon, but it looks just like one - a big one. Not really affecting any land mass, but wouldn't want to be out fishing in it.
Btw, are blizzards caused by lows or highs or both?
