Twin Typhoons (Weather)

Pretty interesting chart. Don't often see two huge typhoons performing at the same theatre side by side. Although they don't quite seemed destined to actually cross paths, that would make a good base for a disaster movie. Technically, i assume, it's highly unlikely, but still possible - a day apart - hit the exact same place?

Anyway, there should be some damn cool satellite images around if they really do cosy up in a few days time.

Yeah, a bit further west and it would almost be the worst case scenario for the south east - but no models have it doing that at this stage.

Right now, we are probably at the height of the storm so far as Taidong goes. Actually, it's kind of nice - some big, turbo-charged gusts to get the blood pumping, but not the sustained barrage that's gonna lift the roof off, and not too much rain. Hoping a typhoon will be this or that is kind of pointless, but if you could, this wouldn't be a bad option.

Looks like you must still be enjoying some sort of breeze.

There were a few huge, house shaking gusts here - but literally just a few. Mostly it was like a big dong bei ji fong. Not too much rain. 94 mil in my guage for the whole event.

Philippines was (again) the place that suffered the most - 14 dead and three missing - though that doesn't seem to rate very highly as news for some reason.
