911 precipitated the war in Afghanistan. 20 years later, the US and allies have withdrawn and the country is returning to Taliban rule. In other words the war has been officially lost. Lots of death but no positive results.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, a totalitarian regime, the home-country of most of the hijackers, is still being shielded from investigation by the US, presumably coz that would show Saudi govt officials had funded the hijackers (otherwise why not release it?).

Must be another one of those 'higher-truth' things.
