Typhoon Washi (reaching cat 1) which looked pretty similar to the procession of lows that have been crossing the ppe over the last couple of months, has turned out to be the most disastrous one of the season killing over 600 people in south ppe - mostly in Mindanao.
Unlike the other lows, it hasn't caused much rain in Taiwan - probably a bit too far south to affect us.
